DISOBEY | Tarnish & Gold present new work from Minneapolis art collective, Dim Media
Dim Media presents their homage
to the legacy of street art and graffiti
with a series of up-cycled piece
Local art ensemble, Dim Media, explores new territory using the aesthetics of up-cycled materials and a pantheon of street art styles. Gathering materials of salvaged wallpaper, decaying fencing, and bricks from a demolished building, the artists began to mimic decades of graffiti, concert posters, and remnants of personal expression. The layers of spray paint, ink, clay, acrylics, and collage create a brick canvas for the artists to balance the exquisite and the derelict.
